Access to Amersham Hospital via Whielden Street is currently disrupted due to work on HS2. The hospital can only be accessed via the Amersham Old town end of Whielden Street (from the junction with the A355/High Street). The route through to Whielden Street from the roundabout at the junction of the A404 and A413 will be unavailable until November 2020. - please click here to find out more.
From M40 Beaconsfield junction 2
Follow signs for Amersham and take the A355. As you come into Amersham you will come down a very steep hill, go straight across at the first roundabout and left at the roundabout at the bottom of the hill. Take a left turn into Whielden Street at the next roundabout. The hospital is 500 metres on your right.
From Chorleywood M25 junction
Follow the signs for Amersham and take the A404. When you come into Amersham, follow the signs for High Wycombe and take the bypass. Go accross Stanley hill roundabout. Turn right a the Gore Hill roundabout. Then turn left at the mini roundabout at the bottom of the hill. Then take the first left into Whielden Street. The hospital is 500 metres on your right.
From Aylesbury
Follow signs for Amersham and take the A413. Take the Amersham bypass. At the Whielden Lane roundabout turn right onto the A404 to High Wycombe, then turn left into Whielden Street. The main car park is down the first left hand exit, about 400 metres down the road.
From High Wycombe
Follow signs for Amersham and take the A404 to Amersham. As you come to Amersham you will pass a Crematorium on your left and then come to a roundabout. Go completely around the roundabout, so that you are heading back towards High Wycombe. Take the first turning on the left into Whielden Street. The main car park is down the first left hand exit, about 400m down the road. Please Note: It is not possible to turn right into Whielden Street from the A404.
The main car park is in front of the building. There is an additional car park at the rear of the building. There is also limited number of park spaces available on the public highway at the front of the hospital.

Route 73 Red Rose Travel: Whelpley Hill – Chesham – Amersham – Winchmore Hill - Coleshill
Route 335 Redline Buses: Slough – Stoke Poges – Gerrards Cross – The Chalfonts – Amersham (two return journeys serve Amersham Hospital)

The nearest train station to Amersham hospital is Amersham station. Details of trains to Amersham station can be accessed via the Chiltern Railways website. London Underground also stops at this station.
