About this Ward/Department
AMU is a 26 bedded unit, accommodating most medically admitted patients up to 23 hours before either discharge or transfer to a medical ward. AMU is consultant led with daily consultant ward rounds, supported by a team of junior doctors. AMU is supported by the Physician of the Day (POD) and the medical on call team.
