Our Virtual Assistant is a secure service that connects to your patient record, allowing you to safely view new documents related to your healthcare. The app is designed to recognise common words and phrases and respond with relevant answers or helpful links.

How do I use the Virtual Assistant?

1. Activate the Virtual Assistant
   To get started, click or tap the “Chat” button in the bottom-right corner of this page.
2. Confirm your identity
   You’ll be asked to verify your identity by providing two of the following:
   • NHS Number
   • Date of birth
   • Surname
   • Postcode
3. Start chatting
   Once you’re set up, simply type a question into the app to begin chatting with the Virtual Assistant.

How do I view a document from my health record? 

To view a document from your healthcare record using the Virtual Assistant, type a relevant command such as:

• “Show my recent documents”
• “View my appointment history”
• “What letters have I received?”

The Assistant will then provide access to the documents available in your record.
