Tissue Viability

We care for patients who have wounds that are not healing.

You may be referred to our tissue viability nurses for wounds such as:

• pressure ulcers
• leg ulcers
• diabetic foot ulcers
• surgical wound breakdown

We also help prevent pressure damage to the skin through identification of at-risk patients through assessment. We provide preventative equipment such as pressure relieving mattresses and cushions as needed.

Our team also educates nursing and medical staff in relation to pressure ulcer prevention and provide an expert advisory service to nursing and medical staff for all aspects of wound care.
