January 2025 Health on the Highstreet Review
Meeting: Trust Board Meeting in Public
Date: 29 January 2025
Executive Summary
This paper provides an overview of the first year of the Health in the High Street pilot at Unit 33,
Aylesbury in September 20203. Unit 33 has enabled the delivery of the initial aims of the Health
on the High Street to:
• Reduce health inequalities through providing services in a different model including drop
in and being in an accessible location
• Increase our focus on prevention
• Support development of the town centre
Unit 33 has successfully provided preventative and proactive health and wellbeing to 20,000
members of the community including to those who experience health inequalities. The experience
gained will guide our strategic approach to further expansion of health on the high street,
community health hubs and integrated working.
The next steps are to open a unit in Wycombe and continue our evaluation of Unit 33 this year to
fully develop our business plans for the delivery of the service beyond 2025.
