Trust thanks local community for Easter generosity
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust would like to thank the local community for their generosity this Easter.
Hayley Robins, Play Specialist at the Trust said: “We are so grateful to all the companies, clubs and individuals who took the time out to collect and deliver Easter eggs and arts and crafts. They were shared amongst the whole of the children’s departments to spread the Easter cheer as much as we could.”
Buzzard Scooter Club visited Stoke Mandeville Hospital for their annual ‘Easter Egg Run’. They brought a huge number of eggs that were shared in our children’s areas and the wider hospital.
Some of the team from Zoomania, Aylesbury’s largest indoor play centre, also visited the children’s ward (ward 3) and emergency department (ED) last week bringing Milo the monkey and Tigress from Kung Fu Panda. The team were very kind and gave patients goody bags with a free entry ticket in. The team will be regularly visiting the ward, ED and the clinical observation unit going forward.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) military Paramedic Natasha Day delivered hundreds of eggs to Stoke Mandeville Hospital with her Easter bunny crew, Al and Sasha.
