Trust Clinical Trial Pharmacy Team win at regional awards
Congratulations to our Clinical Trial Pharmacy Team who won the Outstanding Contribution to Clinical Support Services Award at this year’s National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network Thames Valley and South Midlands (LCRN) staff awards.
The awards were held as a virtual online event on Wednesday 21 September. They honour the work of those who support the network across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire, in helping to deliver research studies in the NHS, public health and social care.
A further seven members of the research team were Highly Commended at the awards for their contributions.

The HARMONIE study also won the Exceptional Contribution to a Commercial Study award which teams across the region, including Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, have contributed to significantly.
The Trust is currently the third highest recruiting of research participants in the South East region and in the last year a total 8,876 participants took part in 67 studies at the Trust.
Nicola Bowers, Head of Research and Innovation at the Trust said: “It’s wonderful news that the Clinical Trial Pharmacy Team have won at the regional awards and to see a further seven members of the Research Team Highly Commended. I’d also like to thank our local community for participating in our trials, your contribution enables us to provide high-quality evidence-based care to our patients.
