Wycombe Hospital celebrates patient’s 99th birthday
Nora McNamara, a patient on ward 12B at Wycombe Hospital, recently turned 99. Ward staff wanted to make sure such a significant birthday did not go unmarked and worked together to organise a party for Nora on the ward, with snacks, refreshments and (of course!) cake.
Nora was pleased, not just with the party but with the care she had been receiving. She said: “High Wycombe Hospital is the best hospital every!”
Nora’s daughter Jeanette, who works in a private hospital, was touched by the fuss staff made over her mother’s birthday and the care they had been providing her with.
She said: “I can’t believe what you’ve done for her and we’re just so, so grateful. It just shows the NHS at its absolute best.”
