First baby of the New Year born in Bucks

Our maternity service has welcomed its first new arrivals of 2022. Nine babies were born at Stoke Mandeville Hospital on New Year’s Day.

The first baby of 2022 was delivered at 1.27am to mum Georgia Stewart and dad Oliver Turner.

Weighing 3210g, the baby boy was named Mason and is the first child in the family.

Director of Midwifery Heidi Beddall said: “Congratulations to all the families of our New Year’s Day babies. It’s a real privilege for our maternity teams to welcome the new arrivals.”

It’s strongly recommended that you get vaccinated against COVID-19 if you are pregnant to protect you and your baby.
