Temporary entrance to Stoke Mandeville Hospital maternity unit on Saturday 7 August 2021
The Claydon Wing entrance, the main entrance for our maternity unit and neonatal wards at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, will be temporarily closed from 8am Saturday 7 August.
The closure is scheduled for a 5-hour period and the entrance should reopen by early afternoon.
Service users and visitors to the Claydon Wing will be directed to an alternative temporary entrance at the back of the building.
Staff will be on hand to redirect and escort service users to a temporary entrance and there will be signs in place to direct all those who need to access the unit.
The door closure is required to enable building work in that area to be carried out safely. The building work is to provide improvements to maternity and obstetrics and gynaecology facilities.
The Trust apologises for any inconvenience this temporary closure of the main entrance to the Claydon Wing may cause.
