Spoken narratives – supporting children’s development of narrative skills
This webinar looks at how to support narrative development across all age ranges and across the curriculum. It is divided into three parts of 10 to 15 minutes each to make it easier to watch.
We would recommend you watch all three parts in order if watching for the first time.
Part 1
This provides the background knowledge that you’ll need to support children’s development of narrative skills. It introduces narratives and why they’re so important, as well as how children learn narratives and how they’re structured.
Part 2
This looks at how we can support children’s narrative development from ages 4-16 years and some of the resources that are available.
