Update posted: July 2020

To support the increased demand for critical care due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Trust has made a number of temporary changes to our children and young people’s services to ensure that staff can be redeployed to areas where they are most needed and patient safety is not compromised. These changes are in line with NHS England and Government guidelines. 

These changes include the temporary suspension of NCMP and vision screening services. Further guidance will follow.

Getting Ready for School

This section provides information to support your child as they prepare and start school.

This includes our School Readiness Checklist along with advice and where to go for help and support.

Primary School

This section provides information to support children of junior school age to become healthy, confident and happy as they develop and grow.

This could include puberty, self care, moving to secondary school and keeping healthy

Secondary School

This section provides information to support young people of secondary school age to grow in independence and learn how to begin to make health lifestyle choices.

This could include healthy eating, emotional wellbeing and healthy relationships.
