Buckinghamshire Healthcare still aspires to become an NHS Foundation Trust. However, the current financial climate has demanded that our focus needs to be on addressing the impacts locally. This is a necessary step to enable us to continue with our application. We continue to value our membership and anyone interested in joining can do so via the online form. Becoming an NHS Foundation Trust is something that we are still very keen to achieve, so that our patients, staff and local communities can begin to benefit from everything that this status brings.
Members and potential governors are welcome to attend events throughout the year. Please check our member events page for the latest details
From 28 July to 19 October 2008 we consulted with the public on our plans. Thank you very much to all those people who attended our meetings or contacted us with their thoughts.
This section outlines our reasons for why we want to become an NHS Foundation Trust. It also details how we propose to manage the NHS Foundation Trust and involve patients, the public and staff in our membership scheme.
Even though it's too late to be part of the formal consultation, you are still welcome to contact us if you have any quesions about our application to become a Foundation Trust.
