Listen to your heart: check your blood pressure
Valentine’s Day is all about listening to your heart and showing those dear to you how much you love them. Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is also very keen to look after your heart and your health.
At all of our main outpatient areas at Wycombe Hospital, Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Amersham Hospital we are asking all patients attending an outpatient appointment, and anyone who has come with them, to take their own blood pressure using one of the blood pressure machines available for the public to use.
You can also visit Health on the High Street in Unit 33 in Friars Square shopping centre, Aylesbury, and access our FREE and confidential “Pump it up” kiosk.
Many people live with high blood pressure but have no symptoms.
💟 High blood pressure can lead to heart disease
💟 Half of all strokes are caused by high blood pressure
💟 High blood pressure increases your risk of developing dementia
So, help us to help you look after your heart. When you come for a routine outpatient’s appointment, check your blood pressure. You can’t live without your heart and your loved ones need you so if you won’t do it for yourself, do it for them.
Wishing our patients, colleagues, and community a very happy Valentine’s Day!
With love Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust 🥰
