Jenny Ricketts appointed Trust Chief Nurse and Director of Infection Prevention and Control
Jenny Ricketts has been appointed as the new interim Chief Nurse & Director for Infection Prevention & Control at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
Jenny has become a much-valued member of the Trust’s senior leadership team since joining the Trust in 2002 as an intensive care sister.
She went on to become the Trust’s first Consultant Nurse in 2011 and was appointed Chief Nurse for Surgery and Critical Care in 2014 before becoming the Divisional Director for Surgery and Critical Care in 2016.
Jenny first stepped into the role of Acting Chief Nurse in 2019 before moving on to take up the position of Director of Community Transformation in August 2021 and then most recently the Deputy Chief Operating Officer in July 2023.
She returns to the role of Chief Nurse for the Trust as a passionate patient advocate with a wealth of clinical understanding, problem-solving skills, leadership experience plus an unparalleled knowledge of the teams, colleagues and partners who work for and with the organisation.
Jenny said: “I’m really excited to be given the opportunity to lead our nursing, midwifery and Allied Health Professionals directorate. Nursing is in my heart and soul and it’s a privilege to head up such a wonderful team of dedicated colleagues and work with them to maintain and improve standards in patient safety and compassionate care.”
