New diagnostic centre ready to open for patients at Amersham Hospital
New state of the art CT and MRI scanners have been installed in a purpose-built unit at Amersham Hospital.
The unit, situated at the back of the hospital will be a permanent location for patients to attend for diagnostic CT and MRI scans.
This new facility has been funded by NHS England and Targeted Lung Health Check. The unit will officially open for patients from November 2024.
Andrew Wainwright, Chief Radiographer for the Trust said: “This new facility at Amersham Hospital will enable those in the South of the county to attend scans easily without having to travel to our acute hospital sites in Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe. It forms a key part of the Trust’s strategic aim to develop Amersham Hospital into a leading-edge diagnostic centre.”
