Incident at Wycombe Hospital
At 8.50am this morning smoke was detected in the newer wing of Wycombe Hospital and the fire service was called.
As a precaution the area was evacuated for around 20 minutes while fire officers investigated.
The cause of the smoke was found to be a worn bearing on an air handling unit. The unit was made safe.
There was no fire at any time and there has been no damage to any of the buildings. All services are now running as normal.
