We are currently reviewing venues used for classes. More dates for the set of 3 antenatal classes will be available as soon as we can get them online.

Our antenatal classes are designed for expectant mums and their families to come along and learn lots about the birth and care of your baby, within a local Children’s Centre setting.

Antenatal classes

We hold classes all across the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust in various Children’s Centre. Classes are held in Aylesbury, Wendover, High Wycombe, Marlow, Hazlemere, Amersham, Princes Risborough and Buckingham.

This programme of three sessions is designed for first time parents and covers:

• Signs and stages of labour
• What women can do to help themselves and how a birth partners can offer support during labour
• Babies first hours, including breastfeeding
• Bringing baby home

Please note our tours of Stoke Mandeville are run by a team of volunteers, however, during the COVID-19 pandemic these tours have been suspended. When tours resume they are for expectant mothers and their birth partner.  We are sorry but no children or other relatives/friends can join you.  Tours book quickly so we advise you to book early.  The tour aims to show you the birth centre rooms, labour ward and postnatal wards (all subject to room availability).  To book please go online to http://tinyurl.com/bucksparentcraft

Tours of Wycombe Birth Centre have also been suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. When tours resume they can be booked on an individual basis (subject to room availability) and you just need to phone the Birth Centre on 01494 425520 to arrange a visit.
