Inpatient pharmacy service

We provide medication for patients staying on wards or who’re awaiting discharge.

Bringing medication with you if you’re staying in hospital

We’ll keep your medicines in a secure cabinet next to your bed and use the ones you’re familiar with during your stay. If these medicines run out, or you have started new ones, we’ll provide you with a further 28 days’ supply. We won’t leave you with less than 14 days’ supply of medication.

What if my medicines change?

We’ll tell you and ask you to take your old medicines away so that when you leave the hospital, you only have what you need.

If you think you have been given you the wrong medicines

Please contact our medicines helpline on 01296 838220. Please make sure you have the details of the ward or clinic you were attending when you call.
