The patient forum provides a variety of ways for patients, family members, carers, staff and all other users of the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) at Stoke Mandeville Hospital to become involved in service development.
One opportunity for seeking your views is by participating in a patient forum, which aims to provide items of interest to participants and seek views and feedback from service users on a variety of topics. Feedback is essential in developing our understanding of the patient perspective, improving their experience and ensuring the provision of a patient-centred service.
The patient forum has been developed based on patient feedback to enable a shared understanding of perspectives and for all staff to hear collective patient feedback first hand. Staff can listen and report back key learnings to their colleagues and teams, as well as participate, share knowledge and provide explanations, for example, why things may need to be done in certain ways. These sessions provide dedicated and protected time for patients and staff to have a dialogue.
Regular feedback on actions and all details can be found in SCI News, the dedicated NSIC newsletter. . If you would like a copy, please contact us on 01296 315849 or write to: Lucy Robinson, patient support officer, National Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Mandeville Road, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP21 8AL.
We value your feedback - please share your views and get involved.
