The Medical Education Department is responsible for the delivery of education, learning and development of all medical staff and is supported by the staff working in the post graduate medical educational centres at Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe Hospital. The Post Graduate Education Centre staff also support the training of GPs.
The Medical Education Team:
Deputy Medical Director: Mr Andrew McLaren
Director of Medical Education and Associate Medical Director: Dr Marc Davison (Anaesthetics) - has overall responsibility for the quality and delivery of medical education.
Associate Medical Director (Professional Standards and Performance): Mr Richard Smith - Consultant Ophthalmologist
Associate Medical Director (Quality and Patient Safety): Mr Andrew Northeast - Consultant Surgeon - Main responsibility for the Quality and Patient Safety within the Trust.
Trust Medical Appraisal Lead: Dr Sara Law
Director of Organisational Development & Workforce Transformation: - Bridget O'Kelly
Associate Director of Clinical Education: Jan Marote - responsible for the quality and delivery of all education, learning and development needs, for all employees within the trust.
Deputy Director - HR: Amir Khaki
Oxford Undergraduate Tutor: Dr Henrietta Brain - Diabetes - Responsible for the delivery of the undergraduate programme.
Foundation Year Programme Directors: Responsible for the delivery of the foundation programme including identifying and working with doctors in difficulty.

Educational Supervisors are responsible for the overall supervision and management of a Doctors educational progress. They provide support with training ensuring reposts and appraisals are undertaken. In Foundation training, the ES will help trainees with their professional and personal development.
Clinical Supervisors may change with every rotation but are responsible for mentoring and seeing the trainee doctor on a day to day basis. They ensure work based assessments are carried out and provide reports on progress for the educational supervisor. The clinical supervisor can also be the educational supervisor.
Medical Education Manager: Pam Daley - Responsible for the day to day running and management of Undergraduate and Post Graduate Medical Education.
Stoke Mandeville Hospital:
Deputy Medical Education Manager & Foundation Coordinator: Liane Hanson - Provides support to the Foundation Programme Directors to deliver and quality assure high quality specialty programmes. (110 5425)
Medical Education Administrator - PGC: Jenny Roberts - Providing Administrative support to the Post Graduate Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, as well as processing the Junior Doctors Study Leave applications. (110 6748)
Medical Education Administration: Dony Philip and Karen Blackmore(Undergraduates), Diane Ramsden (Medical Specialties) and Joanne Rocks (Surgical Specialties) - Providing a range of administrative support and duties to the Medical Education Team at the Post Graduate Centre, including Room Bookings. Receptionist / Administrator: Geoff Darby - Responsible for reception and administration duties at SMH, including room bookings across all training sites. (110 8172)
Wycombe Hospital:
Medical Education and GPVTS Coordinator: Nilam Prashar - GPVTS Coordinator with additional responsibilities for Lessons Learnt Feedback Sessions. (120 6015)
Receptionist / Administrator: Sameera Ahmed - Responsible for reception and administration duties at WGH, including room bookings across all training sites. (120 6547)
