The Trust is currently imposing restrictions on visitors permitted onto our adult wards at Stoke Mandeville and Amersham hospitals. This is a preventative measure to limit the potential spread of the highly infectious norovirus that is circulating in the community.
We would kindly ask for your cooperation in delaying any non-essential visits to our adult in patient wards in these hospitals to help us minimise the risk of the spreading the infection.
Please call ahead before making a visit to the hospital to avoid not being allowed onto a particular ward.
Visitor restrictions will be reviewed on a regular basis each day. Ward staff are instructed to inform patients and their friends and families of these restrictions for the comfort and safety of all our patients and staff.
Please note: A&E at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and all outpatient clinics at both hospitals are running as normal, unless you have been otherwise informed. These restrictions do not apply to Wycombe Hospital or to our children’s wards at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
If you have any concerns at all please speak to the nurse in charge of the ward.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
