On Sunday 26 April one Buckinghamshire resident went the extra mile to raise money for the Trust.
Four year old Penelope took part in the 2.6 Challenge and completed a 2.6km bike ride. Her initial target was to raise £260 but through lots of support and generous donations she has raised over £1,000.
Born at 34 weeks at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Penelope had to spend two weeks on our neonatal unit receiving care. Since then she has needed countless appointments from physiotherapy to audiology.
Penelope said: “I am raising money for all the doctors and nurses that helped me when I was a tiny baby.”
Neil Macdonald, Chief Executive said: “This is an amazing achievement, for which I hope Penelope feels very proud. We are so grateful that Penelope has chosen to raise money for us and to all her supporters for such generous donations.”
