Get involved - become a member

We want to develop a membership that is representative of the communities we serve, who can really help support and develop our services. Our members will be at the heart of a successful NHS Foundation Trust.

Almost 12,000 patients, staff and members of our local communities have already signed up as members of the Trust.

Our membership will be split into constituencies who will elect governors to represent them. We are currently recruiting members to the Trust, who will transfer across to become members of the NHS foundation trust on authorisation.

If you are over the age of 16 and live in Wycombe, Aylesbury Vale, Chiltern, South Bucks or have used one of our services and live somewhere in the rest of England then you can become a member. Our staff will automatically become members unless they decide to opt out.

Membership is free and members can get involved as much or as little as they want.

Members have the opportunity to:

receive regular newsletters about what is happening at the hospital
be invited to member-only events and meetings
take part in forums, surveys and projects, offering views on proposed service developments in the future
elect governors to the Council of Governors
stand for election as a governor
apply to become a non-executive director of the Trust when vacancies arise (subject to meeting certain criteria).
