There are many reasons why supporting the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT) is worthwhile: charitable monies have been needed to fund leading-edge research, purchase equipment and support improvements to hospital facilities which could not be achieved within the normal limits of NHS funding.

This includes funds for the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) at Stoke Mandeville and all the other services provided by the Trust. The NSIC admit and treat patients with spinal cord injuries providing a lifelong service from injury. The centre has the only dedicated facility in the UK for children with spinal cord injuries.

Continuing progress in medical science and technology means treatment has become more sophisticated and consequently more expensive - charitable donations therefore remain vitally important in order to keep the Trust at the forefront of medical diagnosis, treatment and research.

Your donations have helped to buy medical equipment, pay for additional staff, contributed to building and refurbishment programmes and have gone towards research to help improve the understanding of medical conditions and find possible cures. Every gift, sponsored activity, event or corporate partnership can make a difference to the lives of patients now and in the future. The Trust are extremely grateful to all their supporters. Donations vary from coins in a collecting box to large cheques amounting to thousands of pounds - all support is very welcome.

Support us

You can donate now by clicking the 'donate here' buttons on our website. This will take you to our secure Just Giving donation page where you can choose to support one of the current campaigns, or any fund / area of your choice. You'll have the opportunity to specify which fund or area once you've completed your address and credit/debit card details.

Regular giving

Please contact us (01494 734783) if you would like to complete a standing order form and donate a regular amount each month. If you pay UK tax and complete the Gift Aid section on the form, your donation will go even further as we can reclaim the tax you have already paid.
