
The ecumenical chaplaincy team offers spiritual and/or religious care to patients, carers and staff . Chaplains are available to:
Chaplaincy volunteers visit the wards weekly. At Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe hospitals Holy Communion is brought to patients on Wednesday mornings by Eucharistic ministers. Holy Communion at Amersham Hospital is available on request.
Roman Catholic sacrament is brought on request at all sites.
Morning prayer
8.30am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in the chapel/prayer room at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
8.30am Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the chapel/prayer room at Wycombe Hospital.
9.30am Tuesday in the chapel/prayer room at Wycombe Hospital.
Holy Communion
Wednesday at 9.30am in Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville hospitals
Sunday at 10am in Wycombe Hospital chapel and 10.30am in Stoke Mandeville Hospital prayer room.
Amersham Hospital has a service at 1pm on a Thursday, alternating between Holy Communion and prayers.
Annual service of baby remembrance
For all who have lost babies during pregnancy. This is usually held at 3pm on the second Sunday of October to coincide with national baby loss awareness week. The venue will change each year, rotating between Amersham, Aylesbury, and High Wycombe.
Chapels/prayer room
At Amersham Hospital the prayer room/chapel is located on the ground floor near the restaurant. Open 24 hours.
At Stoke Mandeville Hospital the prayer room and chaplaincy offices are on the first floor, Wendover Wing. Open 24 hours.
At Wycombe Hospital the prayer room/chapel is located on the ground floor, first right inside the main entrance. Open from 6am until 10pm.
Muslim prayers
There are prayer mats available in all chapels/prayer rooms. Friday prayers take place at Stoke Mandeville Hospital at 1.15pm and at Wycombe Hospital at 1.30pm.

There is usually a chaplain on call in case of emergency 24 hours a day. Please contact via switchboard 01296 315000. There are prayer cards for different situations available at the entrance to chapel/prayer room on each site.
