A medicines helpline is available for patients who have recently had a prescription dispensed by one of the Trust’s pharmacies. If you have any questions on how to take your medicines, dosage, side effects of medicines, or drugs in pregnancy and breast feeding, contact the helpline by phoning 01494 425355, Monday to Friday between 12pm and 5pm.

Healthtalkonline, is an award-winning website of personal health experiences, which has recently published new section on the role of shared decision-making between patients and their doctors.

For information on people's experiences of illnesses and health conditions, visit two new websites: www.healthtalkonline.org and www.youthhealthtalk.org. Aimed at patients, carers, family and friends, doctors, nurses and other health professionals, information is based on in-depth qualitative research carried out by the Health Experiences Research Group at the University of Oxford.

The websites include issues such as reaction to diagnosis, consultation with your doctor, effect on work, social life and relationships, decisions on treatment options and side-effects.
