Education and training

The Trust has a reputation for teaching and training excellence in education. There are modern, well equipped education centres and libraries on all three sites with an active programme of continuing education. The education centres are fully equipped with lecture theatres, seminar rooms and state of the art audio visual equipment including teleconferencing facilities.

We also have a staff development policy. The aim of the policy is to support staff in providing high quality health care to its patients. By creating an environment in which appropriate continual learning and development is encouraged, the Trust is be best placed to meet the challenges of today and the future.

To create an environment in which lifelong learning becomes habitual, b encouraging individuals to reflect on their practice, share knowledge with others and plan to meet their future personal and career needs. This in turn will contribute to current service needs, to supporting clinical governance and generate creativity, innovation and flexibility for the future.
