Stoke Mandeville joins the ranks of the elite

Stoke Mandeville Hospital has been given an Elite Award by Aylesbury Vale District Council.

The hospital, for which Sodexo provides the catering, was honoured at a prize-giving ceremony at the Waterside Theatre on 29 November. 
The award recognises food businesses which have a consistently high level of food hygiene and which score five stars on two or more consecutive occasions. Only about 3% of food businesses which are registered to the Scores on the Doors Scheme qualify for this prize.  The award is also highlighted on the Scores on the Doors website.
Scores on the Doors is the leading national food hygiene rating scheme which lists local authorities’ official ratings for food businesses.

Alison Carter, Sodexo’s manager at Stoke Mandeville, said: “This award is a great honour and reflects all the hard work done by the entire Sodexo team at the hospital.  We take huge pride in our work and it is a pleasure to have it praised, particularly in such a public forum”.
