11 August 2010
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is hosting a number of events across the county to talk about developing health services in the community and making the best use of our community hospitals.
In April 2010 Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust integrated with Community Health Buckinghamshire. This means that a majority of hospital and community healthcare for residents in Buckinghamshire is provided by one organisation.
Anne Eden, Chief Executive, said, “Bringing health services together provides us with a great opportunity to look at how we can improve the patient journey and progress with national initiatives such as bringing our care closer to your home. We can’t do this on our own so will be talking to our staff, GPs and local residents to help us with our plans.”
A number of community sessions will be held across the county on the following dates/times:
Marlow/Bourne End:
Thursday 2 September, 2pm - 3:30pm
Thursday 9 September, 6pm - 7:30pm
Buckingham/Winslow:
Tuesday 24 August, 6pm - 7:30pm
Monday 6 September, 1pm - 2:30pm
Amersham/Chesham:
Monday 23 August, 6pm - 7:30pm
Wednesday 8 September, 11am - 12:30pm
Chalfonts:
Monday 23 August, 2pm - 3:30pm
Wednesday 8 September, 6pm - 7:30pm
Thame:
Wednesday 25 August, 10am - 11:30am
Monday 6 September, 6pm - 7:30pm
The aim of these events is to provide an update on current progress with integration, share our vision for the future and to seek views on how we can provide more healthcare services in the community. We want to find out what is important to our patients and how we can make the best use of our community hospitals, ensuring they are an integral part of the communities they serve.
For more information or to book a place on any of the sessions, please RSVP to communications@buckshosp.nhs.uk or by calling 01494 734959.
ENDS.
