The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has today (Friday) announced that Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust has been licenced to provide services under their new regulation system. The Trust is pleased that no conditions have been placed on the licence.
From 1 April, all NHS trusts in England will have to be registered by law to provide care. Trusts must show the CQC that they meet standards of quality and safety – such as treating people with respect, involving patients in their care, maintaining patient safety and keeping environments clean. The CQC will regularly monitor trusts against these standards.
