New restaurant completes the redevelopment of Wycombe Hospital entrance area

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is pleased to announce the opening of its new restaurant at Wycombe Hospital, which completes the redevelopment of the entrance area at the hospital to provide improved facilities to patients and visitors.

Fully open from today, Tuesday 10 January, new improvements have seen the restaurant move from the lower ground floor of the hospital up to the ground floor behind the main reception area, which has seen major refurbishment. The restaurant also has full glazing looking out onto a courtyard area. By undertaking this move the access restrictions to the old restaurant have now been addressed, ensuring patients and visitors with mobility restrictions can now fully access these new facilities. 

The restaurant also comes with an increased service area, allowing for a wider range of catering options, with a range of healthy hot and cold meals, hot drinks, beverages and snacks. 

In addition, the existing seating area has been extended and refurbished, and following extensive work, there is the option of being able to sit outside in the courtyard area in the summer.

Ian Garlington, director of property services at the Trust, said: “In our continuing programme of major improvements at Wycombe Hospital, we are delighted that we can provide a much improved experience for patients, visitors and staff. We hope these improvements will serve the county well into the future and make each and every visit to Wycombe Hospital as enjoyable as possible by providing a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors.
