
Fred jo
ined the Trust as Chair in September 2012. He was the former Chair of NHS Oxfordshire, a neighbouring PCT, which ‘clustered’ with NHS Buckinghamshire in 2011. He held this role since the organisation’s original formation in 2006.
Living near Wantage and having jointly steered the clustered PCT, Fred is familiar with the county, local residents’ health needs and priorities. His professional career saw him working for a number of years in the oil business; but for over 20 years he was personnel director then chief executive of a European shipping, transport and logistics business throughout the UK, Ireland and continental Europe.
Anne joined the Trust as Chief Executive in December 2006 having previously worked in London teaching hospitals and as chief executive of community/mental health and specialist hospitals. She also spent three years at the Department of Health. Anne has an MBA and is a graduate member of the Institute of Health Service Management and Chartered Institute of Marketing. She gives her time on a voluntary basis to Medical Aid for Poland and the Relief Fund for Romania.
Keith served as chief operating officer for a US-based packaging company with an annual turnover of $1 billion, retiring in 2005. Keith's special interests are delivering efficient and sustainable healthcare, and improving the public's understanding of the Trust's activities and ambitions.
Brenda has held senior management and communications roles in a number of blue chip companies and gained experience as a non-executive director at a PR company and an HR company. She is currently an independent member of the Parole Board, and a lay assessor for the National Clinical Assessment Service and was recently appointed as a Fitness to Practice Panellist for the General Medical Council.
Tom joined the Trust in February 2005. Prior to his appointment, Tom had been the Director of Finance of the North Middlesex University Hospital for five years. This position built upon his strategic experience derived from five years within performance management at London and then Eastern Regional Offices. As Assistant Director of Performance at Eastern Regional Office, Tom went with the Director of Performance to support the merger of the former Lister and Queen Elizabeth II hospitals, occupying the post of Director of Information and Planning whilst facilitating the change process.
Neil joined the Trust in February 2013 from East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust where he had been Chief Operating Officer from June 2008, following a period as deputy director of operations. Prior to this, Neil held several senior general management roles within the Trust, including leading its surgical services. He has also held a number of senior management roles in acute teaching hospitals.
Dr Luzzi qualified from Trinity College, Cambridge and Oxford Clinical School. He was a clinical lecturer in infectious diseases at the University of Oxford and was appointed consultant physician in genitourinary/HIV medicine at Wycombe Hospital in 1993. He was an associate medical director and director of medical education before being appointed medical director in May 2007.
Lynne has over 30 years experience in the health service and has come from an autonomous community provider organisation covering three London boroughs, where she held the position of chief operating officer and chief nurse. She has also previously been both a chief nurse and director of operations in acute trusts. Lynne began her nursing career in the north-west and also has experience of working for general and learning disability services. In addition, she has been a clinical nurse specialist championing standards of care for older people.
